*Mirroring Nature* is a painting series Rafael Lopez-Ramos started in 2007 when the artist moved to Miami from Canada. The title plays on the verb mirroring (to reflect in or, as if in a mirror, to resemble) as a way to point out the ironic correlation we witness in Miami between the manicured tropical flora and the fancy, massive or gas-sucking machines we rely on to commute around the megalopolis.
